Dissatisfied with the existing alternatives for “room greening”, the multi-award-winning French designer and architect Patrick Nadeau has developed a completely new textile planting system for Authentics : Urban Garden . It combines the advantages of hydroponics with those of conventional soil planting.

Suspended from walls or ceilings, the innovative plant bags from Authenics set accents. Several bags can be combined into decorative arrangements and divide larger rooms as floating walls: in cafés and restaurants, offices, lobbies, trade fair and sales rooms or at home in the conservatory, kitchen and living room.

Textiles for herbs, flowers and other plants

The plant bags are part of the innovative Urban Garden series created by designer Patrick Nadeau for Authentics . The flexible bags made of coated textile fabric are robust and functional, easy to care for and guarantee long-term watering for all conventional plants with a surprisingly new design.

The bags from Urban Garden consist of a robust, textile outer skin and a waterproof inner bag with integrated drainage fleece. The inner bag is filled with clay granulate. The fleece chamber holds the plant together with the soil ball. The planted inner bag is placed in the textile cover. This makes Urban Garden suitable for all indoor plants such as kitchen herbs, flowers and houseplants – even those that have already stood in conventional soil.

Comfortable and clean gardening

The main advantage of this type of long-term watering: the care of the plants is more comfortable and cleaner. The clay granules store water, while the drainage fleece prevents waterlogging. A water level indicator is included with each plant bag and plant bag.

Urban Garden also requires neither coasters nor planters, and the welded inner and outer bags prevent water from leaking out.

Suitable for wall mounting

The textile plant containers are practical, easy to care for and open up a complete spectrum of new possibilities for interior design with plants.
